Now hiring for a faculty position in Respiratory and Pulmonary Bioengineering

The Roy J. Carver Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Iowa  invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment with an anticipated start date of Fall 2020.  Our department seeks visionary individuals who are integrating engineering, biological sciences, and translational medicine to promote scientific discovery and the development of clinical technologies that advance healthcare. We aim to enhance the department’s integrative research and educational programs by hiring a core faculty member with research and teaching expertise in the areas of respiratory and pulmonary bioengineering. We are particularly interested in candidates developing and using microfluidic and micro electromechanical systems, organ-on-a-chip devices, and/or single-cell sequencing techniques with applications in the respiratory system and to pulmonary disorders.
