The Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust recently awarded our department a historic $12 million grant, allowing us to dramatically expand our academic and research efforts.

In addition to our primary faculty, our graduate students have the opportunity to work with 50+ secondary faculty from the Carver College of Medicine and research centers & institutes across campus.

Primary research areas include medical imaging, biomaterials, cardiovascular biomechanics, cellular & regenerative engineering, computational genomics, and musculoskeletal biomechanics.
